Every year more than 3.6 million referrals are made to child protection agencies involving more than 6.6 million children (a referral can include multiple children). Source
For the month of March, Atkinson Inspection Services will be collecting donations for Lake Sumter’s Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) to help sponsor children through their therapy.
Lake Sumter CAC was established in 1997 through several government agencies to help children in need who are victims of child abuse.
Sponsorship is tax deductible and helps contribute to their need of assisting 1,000 victims of child abuse every year.

Sponsor a Child’s Therapy – The average cost for a kid’s therapy is about $1000.
Volunteer – Volunteer your time.
Purchase a “Stop Child Abuse” license plate – Proceeds help fundraise for the program.
Donate items – children’s books, coloring books and crayons, cookies or crackers for snacks, juice boxes, new craft supplies (poster paints, crayons, construction paper, children’s scissors, glue sticks), tissues, paper towels and toilet tissue, and children’s movies on DVD
